This tutorial will go through how to set up a microphone in the E-studio and record to Cubase (sx 3).

 

 

In the recording room.

Look at the illustration to the left.

 

Connect a microphone to one of the six Mik connections.

In this tutorial use Mik 1.

 

 

Turn the speaker volume down to avoid feedback.

 

On the patch panel, connect from Mik. opptakskott1 to the microphone pre amplifire
TC Gold in L

The microphone signal is send from the microphone to the microphone amplifier

 

 

The TC Gold microphone preamp.
Preset 100.

The microphone amplifier amplifies the signal from the microphone The tc box has to be set to preset 100. Look at then illustration below.

 

 

tc Gold has two microphone amplifies
in this tutorial we are going to use only one Channel 1, the left one.

 

On the Pre. amp CHANNEL 1, the five yellow lights in the animation below has be on,
NO one else.


 

Look at the animation to the right.

Adjust the Input level so that the level meter newer reaches the red CLIP light.

 

 

On the patch panel, connect from Gold out L to ADI-8 PRO inn 1.

The amplified microphone signal from the tc Gold microphone amplifier is now send to the computer:s audiointeface and then into the computer.

 

 

Look at the animation below.

This is the audio interface (ADI-8 Pro) It sends and receives audio signals to and from the computer.

 

Sound is now going in to the computer on Input 1.
Proceed from her as you would do in the Project studios
